The suspiciously discounted hired goons and Barry.... ON TRIAL beat the ball around pretty good last week, and the FBC... not so much. If I cared more I might look through the ancient historical records of the weekly update library to see how close a team has gotten to having a higher OBP than SLG. Actually, maybe I will do that later, but for now I guess I will bestow the highly sought-after Luis Castillo award on Jason's FBC for their powerless but strangely patient gem. UPDATE: okay, this is not really an update since I haven't actually posted this yet, but just last week Jason (of course) managed to pull off a "true" Luis Castillo award by producing a 0.333 OBP and a 0.325 SLG! Awesome! FBC must stand for Fail Ball Club.

Anyway, so also last week there were some awesome K numbers produced by the Staaaaars and the Killbots and the Return to Duck Island, and Confused Cricket Club got baseball and softball confused again, but I guess you have to tip your hat to ol' Vik, who once again Bumped Utleys with pitching glory and woke up with a burning case of awesome ERA.

Here's where we are as a season:

Team BA OBP SLG ERA K/9 W/9 HR/9 BIPA

Sigh, Vik. Why your team so good at the throwing the ball? And man, if one day the Henchmen realize they have to also throw the ball instead of just crushing it with a stick, we're going to have trouble.

Good job gang!
